Privacy policy · Updated 19 October 2026
Launcher
Launcher is a home screen. It has no account, no ads and no analytics, and it can't connect to the internet: it has no internet permission. Nothing leaves your phone.
What the app stores
Your favourite, hidden and renamed apps, your gestures and your appearance settings.
Your apps
To show your apps, Launcher reads the list of apps you can open, including work-profile apps. Apart from your favourites, hidden apps and renames, that list isn't saved.
Accessibility service (optional)
Launcher's accessibility service is used only to lock the screen when you double-tap. It doesn't read the screen and doesn't receive any events.
You turn it on yourself in Android settings, after the app explains why, and you can turn it off there at any time.
Search
A web search hands what you typed to your browser or search app, which handles it under its own policy.
Permissions
Home screen: to be your phone's home app, if you choose it.
Expand the status bar: to open the notification shade with a swipe. Launcher doesn't read your notifications.
Uninstall requests: to open Android's uninstall dialog from an app's menu.
Accessibility: optional, to lock the screen.
Sharing
Launcher doesn't share, sell or send any data to anyone.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes everything.
Children
Launcher isn't aimed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
Phone backups
If you've turned on backup to your Google account in Android's settings, Android may include Launcher's saved data in that backup. The backup belongs to your Google account and isn't sent to me.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
